  • Technical Details

Medieval designs inspire Epic Armoury's Marquee tent, providing a spacious and private space for resting or holding secret meetings during LARP events. The two-toned colour scheme adds authenticity, resembling tents used during the time of armoured knights.

The roof and walls are supported by poles, allowing for an open canopy setup without walls or a secluded setup with walls. The wall pieces attach easily to the roof with fastening hooks, eliminating the need for complicated rope hoops. The tent's poles are made of powder-coated iron, and the fabric is heavy-duty cotton weatherproofed with paraffin wax for durability.

You can choose between regular and compact tent poles. Regular poles are longer (210 cm max.), assembled from two or three pieces, and suitable for ample packing space. Compact poles are shorter (110cm max.), designed for limited packing space and lack locking mechanisms since the weight of the canvas keeps the tent secure. Remember to check and tighten the guy ropes regularly.

Due to the considerable size and weight of canvas tents and roof pieces, standard shipping calculations do not apply. After ordering, we will provide a specific shipping offer based on your location, which you must confirm before we pack and ship your order.

Each Marquee 6x12 m consists of the following: Marquee Tent - Roof, 6 Sides for Marquee Tent, 5 Pole Packs and 4 bags of Pegs. All colours, packs and bags match your chosen tent.

Maintenance

Our tents and awnings are treated to be water-repellent and anti-mold, yet mold is an age-old issue with tents, so it's essential to take preventive measures, even though we can't guarantee complete control. Here are some guidelines to prevent mold:

  1. Use a Groundsheet: we recommend the use of a groundsheet under the tent to reduce the moisture rising from the ground.

  2. Ensure that the tent is pitched correctly so that water easily runs off the fabric and the tent is protected from leaks and mold formation.

  3. Make sure the tent is completely dry before storing it, as damp fabrics encourage mold growth.

  4. If the tent isn't fully dry before storing, it can develop a musty odor and compromise water-repellent coatings.

  5. Do not store the tent in damp or hot places like a basement.

  6. Avoid cooking inside the tent, as this can cause mold to form on the fabric.

  7. Do not wash dishes inside the tent, as dishwater is one of the main enemies of the fabric.

  8. Set up the tent on a dry, clear day.

  9. Take extra care in high-humidity climates to prevent mold.

  10. Do not hang a kitchen rag over a bar inside the tent, as soap residues can affect the fabric.

  11. Ventilate the tent, especially when you're not using it.

  12. Avoid pitching the tent under trees, as bird droppings and tree debris after rain can cause mold.

  13. Regular Cleaning: Encourage regular cleaning of the tent with mild soap and cool water to remove dirt and organic materials, which can promote mold growth.

  14. Check for Damage: Regularly check for any signs of wear or damage. Small rips or tears can let in moisture, which can lead to mold growth.
