Gambeson Warrior with Short Sleeves

The Warrior Gambeson with Short Sleeves from Epic Armoury is a padded coat that provides coverage from the neck down to the hips on the front and back of the torso. It can function as a standalone garment or serve as padding beneath mail or armor. The gambeson is worn like a jacket and fastened at the front with five leather straps and brass buckles, allowing for an adjusted fit. This version has short sleeves, but long sleeves are available for purchase separately and can be easily connected using cotton cords on the shoulders and sleeves. The Warrior Gambeson outer layer is made from 100% cotton twill. The padding is a 100% polyester. The lining is 100% cotton. This durable gambeson is thick enough to serve as armor by itself. The padding is sewn together in vertical lines, keeping it in place and replicating the classic European high-medieval style. Despite its European design, the gambeson or quilted-style armour has been used worldwide since ancient times, making the Warrior Gambeson a versatile basic armor suitable for any time and location.

Cleaning

Machine wash at 30°C / 86°F. Please make sure to wash it once before use in order to make sure that remaining dye will be removed from the product. It is advised to wash with similar coloured clothes to reduce the risk of dye imprint. Tumble dry on low heat, but be aware that it might shrink up to 5%. For general stains or discoloration, treat with a commercial fabric cleaner, or blot with tepid water and a soft cloth.
